Congratulations Quinton Crow Shoe
The Heritage Inn Hotels and Canadian Destinations Group Limited would like to congratulate Quinton Crow Shoe of Fort Macleod on being named the 2013 Alberta Tourism Ambassador. Quinton, marketing and events coordinator at Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, tells the story of one of the world’s oldest and best preserved buffalo hunting sites to visitors from all over the world every year.
Quinton’s late grandfather, Joe Crow Shoe Sr. was instrumental in the development of the Head-Smashed-In site and interpretive centre. Quinton credits his grandfather in shaping who he is today. “My grandfather helped shape and mold me into who I have become today, and he taught me today’s warriors need to walk in both worlds”
Quinton is involved with coordinating special events, the marketing for the site as well as presiding over many events as the master of ceremonies. His passion and vision shines through in his work and he is a valuable member of the Alberta Tourism team. This was very evident at the ALTO (Alberta Tourism Awards) Dinner where he spoke passionately about First Nations tourism and Alberta tourism as a whole working together now and in the future to provide more people with the opportunity to learn about the history and rich heritage Alberta has to offer.
