Notice to the Public: Update on Labour Relations at Heritage Inn Moose Jaw
Heritage Inn and UFCW Local 1400 have agreed to end the union lockout at our Moose Jaw location. The union has taken down its picket line, and all returning employees are anticipated to return to work beginning October 29, 2025.
While a new collective bargaining agreement has not yet been reached, both parties are committed to continue bargaining to benefit the well-being of our employees, support the communities we serve, and sustain our business for years to come.
For more than 50 years, Heritage Inn has been guided by our family’s vision of creating a place where people could work, gather, and thrive. Our team members are the heart of our business, their dedication and resilience continue to inspire us. The time has been challenging for everyone involved, and we deeply appreciate the patience and understanding shown by our employees, guests, and community.
Our goal has always been to protect the long-term well-being and job security of our team while ensuring the continued sustainability of our business. As we move forward, we do so with optimism and a renewed commitment to building a respectful, collaborative, and supportive workplace for all.
We also want to assure our guests and the community that Heritage Inn Hotel & Convention Centre Moose Jaw remains open and ready to welcome you back. Whether you’re joining us for a meal, a stay, or a special event, we look forward to reconnecting and continuing to serve Moose Jaw with the hospitality and care that have defined us for generations.
We thank our employees, guests, and community members for their continued support as we take this important step toward resolution and renewal.
