Location: Taber, AB

The Heritage Inn Hotel & Convention Centre in Taber, Alberta is hiring Servers!

**Must Live in or Around Taber**

What You Will Do:

  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of all food and beverage menus items and their presentation; as well as, sides and choices associated with each item.
  • Ensure appropriate setup of function rooms per the function confirmation sheet. (i.e. linens, glassware, flatware, meeting equipment and supplies, etc.).
  • Clean up after the function.
  • The service of food and beverage requirements during functions.
  • Clear cutlery, glassware, dishes, etc. at appropriate intervals of food and beverage service.
  • Keep work area stocked, organized, and clean at all times.
  • Respond to guest concerns efficiently.
  • Ensure work areas and equipment are kept functional and orderly at all times, reporting any deficiencies as, necessary.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the Banquet / Catering Manager.

  • Able to work shifts and weekends.
  • Performs efficiently under pressure and within time restraints.

Please Be Aware:

  • This job requires a quick and rigorous pace of work.
  • There may be standing for long periods of time.
  • Some physical labour and heavy lifting is required.

Skill Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle and solve customer related concerns and report to the supervisor, as necessary.

Knowledge and Training:

  • Must be familiar with all the hotel amenities and services.
  • Responsible liquor service certificate / training (ProServe) an asset.
  • Reel Facts (VLT) Training important!

Industry Experience:

  • One (1) year of experience an asset.
