This position will include:
Purchase, receive, store and prepare food as per the hotel standards.
Ensure high quality of all food prepared at all times and constantly checking for taste, temperature and visual appeal.
Achieve a high level of guest satisfaction
Conduct daily inspections of all fridges, freezers and storerooms, to ensure proper management, rotation and dating of all products.
Ensure work areas are stocked, organized and clean at all times.
Create, develop and plan menu items, i.e. daily features, specials, locally sourced.
Record food inventory.
Adhere and maintain awareness of all safety regulations.
Hire, train, coach and supervise an engaged team coordinating their daily activities and schedules.
Conduct regular team huddles.
Participate in the annual budget process to ensure financial objectives are met for the Food & Beverage division.
Who we are looking for:
A hardworking, knowledgeable and proactive professional and problem solver with at least two years of kitchen supervisory experience.
Preference will be given to candidates with Red Seal Certification or equivalent.
Must be passionate about the food service industry and current with the latest provincial and federation regulations and industry trends.
A hands-on and detail orientated role model who believes in leading by example within a team environment, and Is always willing to jump in and help whenever required.
Evening and weekend work will be required.
