Alberta’s largest and warmest man-made lake is Lake Newell. The activities there are plentiful, with water sports like fishing, sailing, and windsurfing being some of the most popular. Kinbrook Island Provincial Park is situated beside the lake and offers a beach for playing and relaxing. The wildlife around Lake Newell is another reason to visit this awesome spot. The Kinbrook Island Marsh trails offer up some very cool viewing of the creatures that live in Southern Alberta, as well as many species of birds.
