Meet Zenaida (Zeny). Zeny is part of the team at our Taber, Alberta location. When asked, fellow staff members and management have boasted about how positive she is. "She comes to work every day with a smile on her face" is what they've echoed.

When COVID-19 hit, Zeny didn't hesitate to go above and beyond to help. She started making face masks at home in her spare time. First for friends and family, and then for coworkers. As commercial resources became more and more limited in these challenging times, she jumped in and started creating face masks for other Heritage Inn locations and team members as well.

To date, Zeny has sewn an astonishing 120 masks! Each mask takes her around 30 minutes to sew, and she creates up to 6 per day in her spare time.

During these unsure times, Zeny's positivity and act of kindness are a ray of sunshine. Her actions serve as a reminder that we will continue to meet and rise above this current challenge by looking after each other and doing our part, as little or big as it may be. Face masks from Zeny, and those who've supported her through material donations is just one example of our commitment to persevere.

From all our us at Team Heritage across Western Canada, thank you Zeny! We are grateful to have you as part of our team and appreciate you helping to keep us and our communities safe.
