The Heritage Inn Hotel & Convention Centre in Brooks, AB is currently seeking a full-time team member to oversee, direct, and manage our on-site nightclub and staff.
This position will include:
Maintaining standards for responsible service and job performance as outlined and adhere to all Provincial Liquor & Gaming Act Regulations.
Managing human resources for the pub including recruitment, training and scheduling of staff, orientations, performance evaluations, and conducting regular staff meetings.
Ensuring financial integrity of the operation through monitoring of product inventories, staff labour, cost control and proper cash handling procedures.
Conducting regular inspections of the operation.
Creating a Monthly Promotion Schedule including projecting sales, cost and expenses of proposed promotions.
Ensuring that events, promotions, specials etc. are communicated to all staff & promoted by the DJ on a regular basis throughout each evening to enhance the optimal performance and sales of the beverage room.
Resolving any customer concerns and complaints quickly and efficiently.
Keeping work area stocked, organized and clean at all times
Ensuring work areas and equipment are kept functional and orderly at all times
Participating in annual budget process to ensure financial objectives are met.
Assisting with hotel operations and special events when required.
Performing any other job related duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Who we are looking for:
A hardworking, knowledgeable and proactive management professional with at least two years of food and beverage experience.
Must be passionate about the hospitality industry and stay current with the latest provincial and federation regulations and industry trends.
A hands-on and detail-oriented manager who believes in leading by example, and is always willing to jump in and help whenever required. Evening and weekend work will be required.
Must hold valid ProServe certificate
Familiarity with operation of POS systems an asset
