Housekeeping Manager

Location: Pincher Creek, AB

The Heritage Inn Hotel & Convention Centre in Pincher Creek, Alberta is hiring!

What You Will Do:

  • Provide ongoing evaluation of staff work performance for the Housekeeping and Laundry departments.
  • Implement and maintain procedures that ensure smooth operation and meet the hotel's standards.
  • Thoroughly inspect rooms cleaned each day.
  • Monitor assigned areas through inspection rounds to ensure that quality standards and departmental policies are being met.
  • Hire, train, and supervise all Housekeeping and Laundry staff and provide ongoing training for all new and existing staff as determined in the evaluation process.
  • Ensure work areas, equipment, and laundry facilities are kept functional and orderly at all times.
  • Conduct department staff meetings.
  • Respond to guest concerns quickly and professionally.
  • Coordinate schedules of the departments' staff and delegate tasks, as necessary.
  • Keep work areas stocked, organized, and clean at all times as defined by the posted task list and the cleaning schedule.

Please Be Aware:

  • Shift and weekend work is required.

Knowledge and Training:

  • Extensive knowledge of provincial labour standards and regulations
  • Experience in the Following Areas: Recruitment, Training, Evaluation; Short and Long-Term Planning; Guest Relations; Team Development; Policy and Procedure; Implementation; Delegation and Staff Coordination
  • Complete knowledge of the WHMIS program

Industry Experience:

  • Previous experience as an assistant Housekeeping Manager or Housekeeping Supervisor is an asset.
